Children

On Sunday mornings, our Children's Ministry includes Nursery care for 0-4 year olds, Sunday School for ages 3-5th grade, and Children's Church for K-5 grade children. We encourage families and children to be an integral part of our worship service by inviting children to participate in worship through music and a special Children's Message. Children are then dismissed to our Children's Worship Center, where they participate in fun and developmentally appropriate activities that engage God's Word.

During our Wednesday nights sessions, we have a family friendly discipleship time, beginning with a meal. Nursery care is available for 0-4 year olds. Our K-5 students have their own discipleship hour with games and creative activities to help them grow in faith.

women

The Women's Ministry at RCN is all about, "women reaching women through love, inspiration, encouragement, and fellowship."

The first Tuesday of every month, the Women's Ministry has a Ladies Night Out at a local restaurant at 6:00. Email Judy Leonard for more information about the next Ladies Night Out!

The second Saturday of each month, the Women's Ministry gathers from 9-11am at the church to love God's community through crafts including:

  • Making quilts, blankets, and pillowcases for Children’s Hospital
  • Knit and/or crochet neck scarves for the homeless
  • Or, you can bring a project of your choice and come for fellowship and refreshments

Women's Ministries is hosting the annual Church & Community Yard Sale on August 6, 2016.  If you would be interested in having a booth to sell your own items at the sale, please contact the church office at 425-271-3206 for more information.

Yearly Activities Include:

  • Ladies High Tea (December)
  • Ladies annual Birthday Party (January)

Youth

The main focus of our youth and young adult ministry is service. Ways we strive to accomplish that are by making and taking sack lunches to the homeless in Seattle, doing random acts of kindness (R.A.K's) and serving orphans in Mexico.

Let there be no mistake, though, we also really value FUN!! We have retreats, campouts, we paintball, we play hide-n-go seek, kickball, we slack line, swim, snowboard, get lost in corn mazes, sell Christmas trees, have Holiday extravaganzas, go caroling, four square, nine square in the air, attend concerts and almost all of these include feasting!!!

Our regular times of meeting begin on Sunday mornings at 9:00am, gathering in the "Upper Room" for a social time, eating donuts, playing air hockey, foosball, listening to music, and hanging out. At 9:30 we divide up into classes that discuss biblical principles and life application. The class divisions are middle school, high school, and college. Wednesday nights we meet at the church at 6:30 for family dinner and then divide up into groups for Bible study.

Two very important main events for this group are Winter Retreat and our regular short-term mission trips to Mexico. Winter retreat is in February. It begins on a Thursday afternoon and ends on Sunday evening. It's an extended weekend at White Pass full of activities, awesome worship through music and incredible spirit filled speakers. Oh and again FOOD. Mission trip to Mexico is the first week of August. Fundraising for this trip begins with our Christmas tree lot. This is an opportunity to serve and minister to children as well as grow as a group and as individuals.

You can get a feel of the focus of this group by our mission statement:

We choose to:

  • Build relationships through love
  • Change lives through service
  • Live our lives with a passion for God

Music

We embrace a blended worship service at RCN. That means we sing contemporary praise songs and classic hymns. We have a terrific worship band, comprised of people from all ages and different cultures. Our worship through music consistently features guitars, a keyboard, a piano, and drums, as well as a wonderful vocal team of women and men. Oh, and we really do embrace being multicultural. It's not uncommon, therefore, to sing a song in both Spanish and English during our worship time. (Don't worry, you don't have to know Spanish!)

Our Worship Leader, Tim Miller, sites Ephesians 5:18-20 as a summary of his ministry as a spiritual leader of our musicians and singers, and in pursuing truly blended worship for our diverse congregation as we lift up the name of Jesus: “….be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another with psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit. Sing and make music from your heart to the Lord, always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ." (NIV)

Our Worship Team practices once a month at 7pm Thursdays and at 8:45am Sundays. Contact Tim if you'd like to join!

Spanish

Our Spanish Congregation gathers for worship on Sunday afternoons at 1:30pm and for Bible study on Friday nights at 7pm.
